Session I leads you through: Building your health care team, the roles & responsibilities you'll assume to successfully take control of your health care and lead and coordinate your team, setting up your Savvy Patient personal health record notebook, capturing your medical history, learning how to effectively tell your story to prevent premature diagnoses and help your doctors think, how to prepare for and conduct better doctor appointments, and what it means to have and be a patient advocate for another and how to do it.

Session II covers tracking and using medical test and procedure results, tracking and communicating new symptoms and chronic illnesses, researching illnesses and treatments, medication management, tracking lifestyle changes, how to remain in control and be an empowered patient when in the hospital, having a hospital advocate and what they need to do for you, the ins and outs of surgery and surviving the emergency room.
